Unhurried Africa

“There's plenty to discover, but nothing needs to be rushed.”

N ot every family holiday needs to be filled from morning to night. Sometimes, the greatest luxury is having time — to linger over breakfast, discover somewhere beautiful without rushing, or simply enjoy being together. This journey combines the energy of Cape Town with the beauty of the Winelands and the restorative magic of the African bush, all at a slower pace. Along the way, thoughtful experiences are chosen around your family — from secluded beach picnics and stargazing beneath African skies to meeting local artisans or simply finding an unexpected moment in a beautiful place.

Beautiful places, meaningful experiences and time to enjoy them create a family holiday that feels less like a checklist and more like time truly spent together.

Cape Town

“Life by the Water”

A fter a long journey, Cape Town offers a gentle way to begin. The city opens at the water, where the V&A Waterfront hums with life beneath the watchful presence of Table Mountain. Here, there is no need to rush into a full itinerary. Instead, the first days can unfold naturally, giving you time to settle in, breathe deeply and begin to feel the rhythm of the city.

With beaches, gardens, cultural experiences and the city’s most beautiful neighbourhoods close by, there is plenty to discover — but no need to fit everything into a single day. Choose what suits you, explore at your own pace and give yourself time to settle into Cape Town. A city made for lingering

“Time to Explore Together”

S tellenbosch is a wonderful place for families to settle into a gentler rhythm, with plenty to see and do without filling every moment. Begin with a relaxed stroll through the historic streets, where Cape Dutch buildings, galleries and welcoming cafés offer an easy introduction to the Winelands. You might visit the Stellenbosch Village Museum, explore the university gardens or spend time at the Rupert Museum.

Beyond the town, surrounding estates invite you to enjoy the setting at your own pace. Discover the gardens at Babylonstoren, meet animals at Spier or take in the views from Delaire Graff or Tokara.

For something more personal, we can arrange a private meeting with a winemaker. Hear the stories behind the estate, walk among the vines and discover the craft and sense of place behind each bottle — a more intimate encounter than a traditional visit.

A place for easy discoveries, shared moments and a glimpse into the magic behind the wine.

The Franschhoek Valley

“Savour the Valley”

F ranschhoek invites you to slow down and savour the moment. Surrounded by mountains and vineyards, its charming village, beautiful estates and exceptional food create an easy rhythm to the day. Perhaps it is a visit to a local winemaker, a leisurely lunch, a stroll through the village or an afternoon spent discovering a gallery and the stories behind its art.

You might explore a hidden corner of the valley, visit one of the nearby nature reserves or simply take in the beauty of the mountains, vineyards and open landscapes around you.

Here, the experience is as much about the atmosphere as the itinerary — with time to enjoy each moment at your own pace.

Beautiful places, good food and time to savour it all.

“The Rhythm of the Wild”

T hen, the pace changes again as you head into the African bush. Here, the days follow nature's rhythm — early mornings, unhurried afternoons and the anticipation of what each game drive might reveal.

There is excitement in every sighting, but also a wonderful sense of stillness. Time to watch, listen and simply be present.

As evening falls, gather around the fire, watch the sunset fade into a star-filled sky and listen to the distant calls of the wild.

A few days to disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with each other.

Until the Next Adventure

As your journey draws to a close, you leave with more than memories of the places you have seen.

You leave having experienced Africa at your own pace — with time to discover, time to linger and time to simply enjoy being together.

From city shores and mountain-framed vineyards to quiet moments beneath African skies, the journey has been shaped around the things that make travel meaningful to you — with a few unexpected touches along the way.

Because the most memorable journeys are not always the ones that do the most.

They are the ones that give you time to truly experience where you are, with the people you love.

Unhurried days. Meaningful moments. A journey made entirely your own.
